I’m SO pumped for 2016 & I can’t wait to share my experiences this year with y’all! We’re gonna get allll up close and personal with each other. So. Much. Fun.
But seriously, is it just me or did 2015 fly by? Even though I know I was pretty darn productive this past year, I feel like I never followed through with my New Years Resolutions or long term goals. I feel like the word “resolution” can be super intimidating for some people. I get it completely because when you say you’re going to commit to something like a resolution & then fail, you end up feeling worse about yourself. So as a form of accountability, I’m going to tell y’all what THIS year’s resolution’s are.
I don’t know about you, but for me, every time I decided to organize my life (which is multiple times a year) it lasts for all of about 3 days before I get really lazy. The getting organized part is never difficult, it’s the upkeep that getting organized requires after the fact. This year, I want get everything in order and maybe even take a few hours out of each week to make sure it stays that way. And I mean in all aspects of my life. My client files, my planner, my own workouts, and all things blog!
Find a Wider Variety of Healthy Food to Eat
My current eating habits are similar to that of a toddler: extremely picky. Funny story: when searching Pinterest for different healthy recipes to try, I always type in “healthy meals for kids” and sometimes those recipes are a little on the risky side for me. I’m usually a creature of habit when it comes to my meals & I’m getting a little bored, which makes me want to eat whatever I want instead of finding another good healthy option. So this year, I really want to get digging for some out-of-this-world clean recipes.
Broaden My Fitness Horizons
I love cheerleading, found passion for weightlifting, and I’m discovering my interest in triathlons and other types of races. So what’s not to say that I wouldn’t have fun getting active in other ways? In 2016 I want to try as many different types of fitness related activities as I can. I’m already doing so with my new fav fitness app, but I want more! Let me know if you have any awesome suggestions for my to try out!
Okay, real talk. I have a really bad people-pleasing habit that keeps me from taking care of myself a lot of the time. I always want to keep people happy and do everything in my power to help others out. Blessing & and a curse I guess! BUT. This year, I’m going to make me a priority. I’m going to start saying “no” more for the sake of my own sanity. I’m going to have that night to myself where I don’t pick up my phone once & read a good book, and I’m going to be happy doing it!
Hopefully openly telling the world about my resolutions will be some sort of incentive to follow through. Hopefully being the key word here. HA. I’ll keep you updated.
What’re your New Years Resolutions & how are you going to make sure they happen?
